Junior Level Strings Orchestra

Youth Strings offers young musicians the opportunity to further explore ensemble skills by focusing on sound production and rhythmic precision through the practice and performance of various musical styles, articulations, bowing techniques, and dynamics.

  • Instruments: Violin, Viola, Cello & Double Bass
  • Weekly rehearsals, sectional coaching, workshops and performances
  • Suggested minimum age: 8 years old by the end of the calendar year. Age range: 8 - 13+
  • Opening skill level RCM 3 or its equivalent in Suzuki
  • Matthew Jones, conductor
  • Rehearsals: Tuesdays 5:15 - 6:45 pm, First United Church in Waterloo uptown (Sept-Apr)
