Intermediate Level String & Wind (NEW) Orchestra


Youth Sinfonia provides young musicians with an introduction to symphonic music, combining groups of instruments found in a classical orchestra. By practicing and performing original compositions and various arrangements, Youth Sinfonia students have the opportunity to enhance their musical growth and orchestral performance skills.

  • Instruments
    • Strings (Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass & Harp)
    • Woodwinds (Flute, Oboe, Clarinet & Bassoon)
    • Brass (French Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba)
  • Weekly rehearsals, sectional coaching, workshops and performances
  • Suggested minimum age: 10 years old by the end of the calendar year. Ages range: 10 - 16+
  • Opening skill level RCM 5 or its equivalent in Suzuki

  • Rehearsals: Mondays 5:15 - 6:45 pm, First United Church in Waterloo uptown (Sept-Apr)
  • 2024-25 Fee: $475
