Welcome to KWYO
We are Waterloo Region’s comprehensive orchestral training program, a non-profit continuing a proud legacy that
began in 1966. We inspire children and youth ages 6 to 22 to grow through high-standard orchestral instruction
and enriching performance experiences in a fun, supportive, and safe environment.
Prospective members join through auditions , most held in late spring. KWYO
showcases young musicians’ talents and achievements in the main concerts , community
performances and
collaborations.

The Kitchener Waterloo Youth Orchestra acknowledges that we operate on the traditional territory of the
Attawandaron (Neutral), Anishinaabeg, and Haudenosaunee peoples. We honor their enduring stewardship of the land
and
waters, and we are grateful for the knowledge they continue to share. As an organization dedicated to youth,
music,
and community, we are committed to ongoing learning and supporting reconciliation in meaningful ways.
